Upper Dublin Township has received a 2017 Montco 2040 Implementation Grant. The grant is for the Fort Washington Cross County Trail and the Road Diet Project. The grant is one of the 13 grants awarded by the Montgomery County Commissioners as part of Montco 2040: A Shared Vision.
From Upper Dublin Township:
Upper Dublin Township was awarded a $100,000 grant to install a road diet and county trail segment along Commerce Drive in the Fort Washington Office Park. The $6.25 million project is part of an extended effort to establish a safer driving environment through the office park, construct a 0.8-mile section of the Cross County Trail along the vacated cartway, upgrade drainage on Commerce Drive, install a new signalized intersection for future direct access from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and provide wayfinding signage and benches for trail users.
