Senator Maria Collett announced $91,476 in state funding to provide period products in school districts, intermediate units, career and technical centers, and charter schools across the 12th district.
Allocations in greater Glenside include a $9,091.25 grant to the Wissahickon School District, and a $7,178.50 to the Upper Dublin School District.
“Everyone should have access to the menstrual products they need to live healthy, productive lives, yet nearly a quarter of American students have struggled to afford them,” Senator Collett said. “I was proud to champion the historic $3 million budget investment to put period products in Pennsylvania public schools, and I’m thrilled to announce more than $91,000 will directly benefit students here in the 12th District.”
Senator Collett said that she aims to pass Senate Bill 906, referred to as the Menstrual Equity Act, and Senate Bill 1016, which would allow SNAP and WIC recipients to use their benefits to purchase period products.

- Colonial School District – $9,857.75
- Eastern Center for Arts and Technology – $1,107.75
- Hatboro-Horsham School District – $7,367.50
- Methacton School District – $8,086.75
- Montgomery County Intermediary Unit – $969.50
- North Montco Tech Career Center – $1,772.75
- North Penn School District – $22,746.50
- Souderton Area School District – $10,617.25
- Souderton CS Collective – $421.75
- Upper Moreland School District – $6,125
- Lower Moreland School District – $4,541.25
Senator Collett said the funding was provided through the 2024-25 Feminine Hygiene Product Grant Program which was secured through a $3 million investment in the 2024-25 Pennsylvania State Budget.
