Valley Financial Group, located at 311 Lindenwold Avenue in Ambler, has agreed to be acquired by Chicago-based wealth management firm Hightower Advisors, The Philadelphia Business Journal reported.

According to their coverage, Valley Financial was founded in 1999 and has six employees. The independent wealth management practice manages roughly $275M in assets under management and offers financial planning and investment management services to individuals, families and businesses.

“They’ll take that off our hands and then also help us to grow,” Valley Financial partner Ed Woehlcke told The Journal. “They’ll provide resources that allow us to add more of an upstream niche … $3 million to $5 million accounts. They’re just a great firm that’s been around, and we’ve watched teams that are around them grow significantly.”

Financial terms of the sale to Hightower were not disclosed.
