Week Two of the Ambler Farmers’ Market

Saturday, May 14th, from 9 am to 1 pm, is the second week of the Ambler Farmers’ Market. This week, Waffatopia makes their first appearance at the market.

From the Waffatopia Website:

Liege waffles are a popular Belgian breakfast item and snack served at roadside carts and shops. Fresh off the hot iron, this doughy indulgence is warm and satisfying whether you’re eating a Liege waffle on the go or served at the table.

Waffatopia® translates this centuries-old European street food into a unique foodie gift for busy American families. Waffatopia® is an escape from time-consuming meal prep, and a unique, memorable treat for special events in people’s lives.

There are also two other appearances of note for this Saturday – Steve Severson of Outside The Box Landscape will be at market to demo to children how to make Birdhouses. He will provide the wood at no charge. No preregistration is required. From 9:30 am to 12 Noon. Also, Susan Curry, associate of the Ambler EAC, will be presenting The Biology and Care of Trees. This interactive workshop for ages 9 to 109-year-olds will fascinate by discussing beings that can make their own food. The first 10 families (pre-registered for each session) will receive a take-home workbook with puzzles, projects and more information. The presentations will be at 10 am and 11:30 am. To preregister, email ben@gnrpastures.com.

Of course, there will be fresh, local food and plenty of it.
