Last night WhitpainTownship hosted an informational meeting to discuss the Zoning Hearing Board case for a sober house at 813 Stonybrook Drive.

At the meeting, an overview of the Zoning Hearing Board application was discussed along with applicable municipal, state and federal laws. Residents were also given the opportunity to ask questions and make comments. No action was taken at this meeting and no deliberation occurred as the meeting was for informational purposes only.

The case will be before the Zoning Hearing Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on January 17.  As with any other Zoning Hearing Board application, the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors will have an opportunity to review the case before it appears before the Zoning Hearing Board. The Planning Commission will review the application at its January 8 meeting and Board of Supervisors will review this matter at its January 15 meeting.
