The Whitpain Township Police Department has announced an investigation into a fatal vehicle crash that occurred just before noon on November 28th at the intersection of East Township Line Road and Arch Street Road. The incident involved three vehicles.

According to police, the preliminary investigation found that a red Nissan Altima traveling westbound drove over the curb and struck two other vehicles traveling in the same direction. The driver of the Nissan, a 72-year-old woman, was transported by helicopter to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and was later pronounced deceased. The occupants of the other two vehicles were not injured.

Assisting the Whitpain Township Police Department on the scene were the Plymouth Township and East Norriton Township police departments, Plymouth Community Ambulance, Pennstar 1 Helicopter, Centre Square Fire Company, Harmonyville Fire Company, Norriton Fire Company, and the township’s public works department.
