Whitpain Township Road Resurfacing Begins in August

Whitpain Township will begin its annual road resurfacing project this August. There is over seven miles of roads to be resurfaced throughout the township.

The listing of roads to be resurfaced includes:

– Township Line Rd. (south) from Butler Pk. To Narcissa Rd.
– Narcissa Rd. from Township Line Rd. (south) to 73
– Lewis Ln. (full length)
– Mount Pleasant Ave. from Morris Rd. to Railroad Ave.
– Cathcart Rd. from 73 to Morris Rd.
– North Wales Rd. from 500 feet south of the PA Turnpike Overpass to the railroad crossing after Pulaski Dr.
– Yost Rd. from 202 to Stirling Way
– Jolly Rd. 202 to Arch Street Rd.

The repaving work is weather dependent and some streets listed on this year’s schedule may not be resurfaced until 2019 if weather becomes a factor.

Residents and motorists will see these roads being prepped in June and July. Prep work includes curb-line milling, manhole repairs, inlet repairs, and crack sealing.
