The Whitpain Board of Supervisors was joined by representatives from the Whitpain Recreation Association to celebrate the opening of two new artificial turf fields at Centre Square Park on Saturday, October 5.

Earlier this year, the Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted an ordinance to issue bonds to advance several open space and infrastructure improvements, including the turf fields at Centre Square Park.

Adding turf fields to Centre Square Park will help make WRA a sustainable youth sports organization for a new generation of young athletes while addressing the recreation needs of community children at an economically affordable price for families.
