Important #WissNation Notification: Wissahickon High School is going to have a virtual instruction day tomorrow (Wednesday, March 26) due to a threat of violence that was brought to the school administration’s attention. While there is no evidence at this time that the threat is credible, out of an abundance of caution, instruction will take place virtually for one day while the investigation continues. WHS students, staff and families have been notified and are aware of the adjustments to tomorrow’s school schedule. Please Note: All other WSD schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow. Thank you!
This is the second such incident involving the Montgomery County suburban school districts in the past seven days. On March 21st, the Whitemarsh Township Police Department increased its presence at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School due to a social media post involving a gun. This step was said to be precautionary and that there was not an imminent threat.
