Wissahickon junior to receive Mini Max Award, part of first-ever group of female recipients

Casey Burden, a junior at Wissahickon High School, will receive a Mini Max Award on behalf of the Maxwell Football Club at their upcoming regional awards event on February 4 in Drexel Hill.

Mini Max winners were nominated by coaches during the 2023 season and evaluated based on football performance, academics and community service.

Burden, who plays wide receiver and safety for the WHS Girls Flag Football team, will be among the first female players ever recognized by the 87-year-old club. Their names are listed below:
