The Wissahickon Valley Watershed documented the release 1,500 brown and rainbow Trout along ten sites on the Wissahickon Creek in Montgomery County today.

The fish, which come from Tylersville hatchery, are released by PA Fish and Boat Commission and volunteers.  And WVWA report that the fish do very well acclimating to the cold water.

Trout season opens in our area on March 31.
