On Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th, the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association is inviting birders to their 23rd Annual Wissahickon Birdathon.
All ages and skill levels are welcome to join. Birders will be split into teams for a friendly competition to see who can identify the most bird species in the two-day period, using a checklist to keep track. At the end of the event, lists are put together by species and by location. Teams collect donations to support WVWA’s efforts to preserve and restore habitat for birds and all wildlife. There are prizes too!
You can register to be on a team here or donate to a team or birder here.
