Wissahickon High School alumna Robyn Betterly ’81 was selected as the 2019 Wiss Nation Hero by the Wissahickon School Board at the December 10th board meeting in recognition of her support for Wissahickon students.
A volunteer with the Wissahickon Valley Boys and Girls Club in Ambler, Betterly teaches a weekly cooking class – Food Four (4) Thought– where students learn about good nutrition by cooking delicious meals with healthy ingredients.
Betterly also provides a pre-packaged bag of fruit and vegetables with a recipe the students can take home to cook with their families.
