Montgomery Township police announce resolution of a 2021 violent home invasion robbery

The Montgomery Township Police Department announced today the successful resolution of a violent home invasion robbery that occurred on December 4, 2021, on Colt Circle in Montgomery Township.

Police said the victim returned home from work around 9:00pm and, shortly after entering the residence, three armed individuals forcibly entered and committed a robbery at gunpoint.

The on-call detective responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation, police said.

“Since the incident, the assigned detective worked tirelessly with multiple law enforcement agencies to develop leads and identify suspects. Through the use of advanced investigative tools and interagency collaboration, significant progress was made in the case,” the report said.

On January 8, 2026, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced that two suspects, Abdullah Hartage and Ali Chandler, were arrested and convicted for their roles in the home invasion robbery.
