Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary School, Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School to receive $94K for school safety and security

Senator Maria Collett of Fort Washington announced today grant funding administered by Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to support mental health and safety programs at nonpublic schools.

Grant awardees in greater Ambler include:

  • Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary School (Lower Gwynedd) – $62,616
  • Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School (Maple Glen) – $32,033

“Our kids’ safety and wellbeing are at the front of our minds when we send them off to school each day,” Senator Collett said. “These grants will allow local schools to purchase equipment and fund the mental health services they need to ensure a comprehensive, high-quality approach to school safety.”

The Targeted School Safety and Security Grant for Nonpublic Schools are available to nonpublic schools to address school violence or enhance school security. 353 projects were approved for a total of $19.4 million.
