Ambler Bike Race is expected to draw big crowds

The 3rd annual Ambler Bike Race on August 19 has been chosen for the first time, as a 2017 PA State Masters Criterium Championship.  The event will draw over 1000 spectators and over 400 riders who will race a fast, flat, 5-corner loop (1.05 mile) through downtown Ambler starting and finishing at The Lucky Well/Ambler Theater on Butler Avenue. The day begins with a 5K run which benefits, Justice Rescue, a pet foster and adoption agency, and Vets for Vets, and includes seven categories of masters and open races for different age groups of men and women and two kids races and concludes with the professional race of the day, the 33-meter (30 lap) Men’s Pro 1/2/3, with riders 10 deep.  There isn’t a spot along the entire course that you won’t catch the action or feel the excitement.

The event  also features a beer garden,  featuring beer from our own Forest & Main Brewery, along with other local brewers, food trucks & seating along Cavalier Drive.

Free parking for racers and spectators will be at the SEPTA/Amtrak train station, 105 S. Main St.
