Ambler Yards to host Dan Marcolina’s live gallery opening & artist lecture on Tuesday, July 27

Ambler Yards, 300 Brookside Avenue, will host a “Diffused Reality” live gallery opening and artist lecture on Tuesday, June 27. A social hour is scheduled for 6:00pm with the lecture set for 7:00pm.

The event is “A generative AI conversation and gallery opening with Dan Marcolina” and will include refreshments, snacks, and beer available from Well Crafted Ambler Brewery.

Marcolina’s gallery will remain open until August 12.

From the event’s description:

Join AIGA Philadelphia and noted local designer (and former AIGA Vice President) Dan Marcolina for a night of conversation and demonstrations aimed at answering the question “is AI the end of creativity, or just a fresh beginning” from an experienced digital designers point of view.

Over the course of the evening, Dan will not just highlight his thoughts on generative AI, but demonstrate several techniques on how he transforms his original photographs using a unique AI workflow and, to use Dan’s words, “the best ways to art direct AI to achieve your intent.” We will not only see the process of creating, upscaling, manipulating and color correcting original imagery with AI generators such as Midjourney and Dall-e, but Dan will also punctuate the process with ideas on exploiting AI for Design, Motion, Augmented Reality and Virtual reality.

This event is a must see for artists, photographers, designers and anyone in visual communications using original imagery to tell a story.
