Ambler’s Art in the Storefront will host an opening reception for professional photographer Kristen Maag’s new exhibition on Friday, January 26 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at 41 E. Butler Ave.
The reception has been postponed from January 19 due to snow. The community is invited and refreshments will be served.
Maag resides in Schwenksville, where she maintains her photography studio. Her interest in photography began nearly three decades ago on her dad’s Polaroid camera. After a lengthy career in finance and philanthropic services, Maag decided to venture out to share her vision with others through her company, Maagnifque Photography, LLC.
“I have always been drawn to photography,” Maag said. “It is an honor for me to capture some of the happiest moments for families, friends and area landmarks and sites.”
Her endeavors include photography of people, intimate family scenes and special occasions, weddings, pets and their people and more. Maag’s artwork is custom framed, suitable for all situations, including business spaces, waiting room areas, lobbies and real estate photography. Her prints focus is centered on Pennsylvania scenes, including the counties of Montco, Bucks, Lancaster, Dauphin, Williamsport and beyond. Her work also extends to beach scenes from Maryland to Maine and landscape and farms in upstate New York.
“I am passionate about translating exceptional moments into tangible pieces of art, commissioned and otherwise,” she said.
