Philadelphia Craft Ice, a new Ambler-based company, was recently featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer for its new product: clear ice cubes for bougie drinks.
The company is owned by Chris Vandegrift and Noah Sokoloff, and their specialty is creating crystal-clear ice cubes, reportedly “an obsession in the cocktail world in recent years.” The pair plans to market their product to Philly’s upscale bars, and then to the public.
According to the article, each ice cube is sold for 70 cents and takes roughly three days to manufacture.
“When a lot of people have been making their ice for free, I’m trying to tell them on the benefits of adding the clear ice to the cocktails,” Sokoloff, 41, told The Inquirer.
