Boil water advisory lifted

As of 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14th, Pennsylvania American Water lifted its Boil Water Advisory that had been in place since Monday, October 12th. A water main break in Norristown led to the advisory.

Those impacted were Pennsylvania American Water (not Aqua) customers in boroughs of Norristown and Bridgeport and portions of Whitemarsh, Plymouth, West Norriton, East Norriton, Upper Merion, Lower Providence, Whitpain, Worcester, and Perkiomen townships.

The latest notice states that normal water use can now be resumed. Water samples tested from the affected area confirm that the water meets all federal and state regulatory standards for drinking water.
