Boyfriend-girlfriend involved in gun and drug trafficking ring in Montco and surrounding counties sentenced 20-40 years in prison

Bella Skylar Kenna, 22, of Philadelphia, was sentenced 20 to 40 years in prison for orchestrating the purchase and illegal sale of 17 firearms and the distribution of drugs, including methamphetamine and cocaine, in Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia counties between January 2023 and April 2024, Mainline Media News reported.

Her boyfriend, Scott Michael Grondin, 43, received an identical sentence last month after pleading guilty in February to charges of corrupt organizations, illegal sale or transfer of firearms to ineligible persons, unsworn falsification to authorities, altering or obliterating serial numbers of firearms, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, person not to possess firearms, possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and conspiracy.

Kenna was also accused of personally purchasing three firearms over 35 days.

Grondin and Kenna allegedly removed the serial numbers of seven firearms and “used straw purchase schemes to meet their goals.” Only a few have been recovered, Mainline Media said in February.

Grondin and Kenna were among seven people arrested in May 2024 for their roles in the organization. Anthony Figueroa-Marko, Emanuel Torres, Asad Sayed, Felicia McKinnell, and Norristown resident Christopher McNelly were also arrested last year.

The investigation was conducted by Montgomery County Violent Crime Unit, state police, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Gun Violence Task Force and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Mainline Media said.
