The Philadelphia Business Journal reported that Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club in Fort Washington and Cedarbrook Country Club in Blue Bell have each seen substantial revenue growth since the pandemic, a trend seen by other nonprofit country clubs around the country.

A review of 2,000 clubs showed a median 24% increase in revenue between 2019 and 2022. Greater Philadelphia clubs exceeded the national average, reporting a median increase of 38%, the Journal said.

Manufacturers’ is up 45.1 percent from 2019 ($7.57 million) and Cedarbrook is up 67.8 percent from 2020 (7.47 million).

The article also notes that the growth has been coupled with an uptick in expenses and operational costs such that gains were often eclipsed.
