Collins Nursery of the Ambler Arboretum to host Grand Opening on Sept 20

The Collins Nursery of the Ambler Arboretum will host a grand opening celebration on Friday, September 20 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm.

The nursery will offer familiar native plants and some less well-known species and is named after nationally recognized landscape architect John Collins, the founding Chairman of Temple’s four-year Landscape Architecture and Horticulture programs.

“The Collins Nursery at the Ambler Arboretum is a homecoming, preserving Collins’ legacy at the campus where he made such an impact in so many students’ lives,” the university said in a statement.

Plants will be for sale during the grand opening in addition to special programs and speakers.
