The National Weather Service and the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety have issued a Flood Watch for the western end of the county from 2:00pm to 12:00am.
The Watch may expand to eastern Montgomery County as storms progress.
From the announcement:
Excessive rainfall rates could result in scattered local flash flooding, especially in low-lying and flood-prone locations. Damaging wind gusts of 60-70mph and large hail are possible, which would likely damage trees and power lines. Storms could produce frequent cloud to ground lightning. Tornado potential is low.
