If you have a spare $850,000 you can be in the running for the former Borough Hall of Ambler. After failing to receive the minimum bid required by the borough at auction on September 24th,
Although the bidding opened at $900K and the Borough advertised the minimum bid at 850K, the eventual high bid only reached 675K and the Borough rejected the bid.
From Montgomery News:
A minimum price of $850K was announced in the borough’s legal advertisements but was not included in information provided by Traiman, as Clemens said the company was not obligated to advertise that information. Borough Manager Mary Aversa, reached by phone Sept. 30, said the property was appraised at that price about two years ago and the borough determined it to be in line with the prices other sites were fetching on the same stretch.
The Borough continues to accept bids for the property – at the same 850K…Who wants to go halfsies?
