Fort Washington Fire Company receives seasonal wreath series from Halo Honey Wreath Co.

The Fort Washington Volunteer Fire Company (FWFC) recently received a handmade wreath series from Jamie Campagna of Glenside, owner of Halo Honey Wreath Co.

Five of the six wreaths are seasonally themed—spring, summer, fall, and winter—including a Christmas wreath special for the holidays. Jamie additionally created a firefighter-colored wreath as a thank you gift for the opportunity.

The summer version uses patriotic colors to honor the members of the FWFC that have died serving their community, and will serve Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Patriots Day.

Jamie’s creations will be displayed year-round in front of the company’s Memorial, located at Station B (Burn Brae station) on the corner of Susquehanna and Twining Roads in Upper Dublin Township.

The company’s Memorial is black granite and includes the names of deceased members from the fire company’s inception in 1908 through present.

“What an honor and privilege that the Fort Washington Fire Company has trusted me to work on such a special project. I especially enjoyed making the patriotic wreath for summer as it commemorates all those who’ve given their life in order to save others,” Jamie said. “It’s true, not all heroes wear capes.”
