Fort Washington to receive 310-unit, 14 acre apartment project

A 14 acre parcel of land at 1125 Virginia Drive, Fort Washington, is expected to become the site for a 310-unit luxury apartment project.

The location formerly housed an office building occupied by ADP.

The apartments’ interior will have stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, tile backsplashes and plank flooring. Amenity spaces will feature a game area with billiards, shuffleboard and pinball, a pool, outdoor grilling and dining stations, a dog park, clubroom with a bar, fitness center, movie theater, and a coworking lounge.

An 8 acre outdoor space will be dedicated to a pedestrian promenade, which will connect the three five-story midrise structures and link to Fort Washington walking and biking trails, as well as local businesses.

According to Philadelphia Business Journal, the multifamily developer and operator Jefferson Apartment Group and equity partner CP Capital bought the property in late December from Equus Capital Partners.

The complex has yet to be named. Construction is slated to begin in February and to be complete in late 2024.
