A strong northwest wind with gusts of 40 to 50 mph is expected to develop this morning. Peak gusts up to 60 mph are likely to occur during the afternoon and evening hours. The wind is forecast to begin diminishing gradually late tonight.

These winds will likely bring down trees and tree limbs with the potential for numerous power outages.
