Kelly Boyd, 56, who grew up in Lower Gwynedd and graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy Academy, was struck by a pickup truck at a Hatfield Township Wawa parking lot on Wednesday afternoon. She was taken to Grandview Hospital, where she died on Wednesday from her injuries, police said.

The Philadelphia Inquirer wrote described her as “a trailblazing woman in the local public relations scene” for her work as a publicist in Philadelphia and as the founder of Rittenhouse-based KB Consultants.

She has three daughters: Claire, Grace, and Frances and attended American University before graduating from Penn’s Fels Institute of Government with a master’s degree in government administration, and Temple University’s law school.
