Man sentenced to probation for promoting prostitution in Montgomery Township

Jared Harrison, 40, of Harrisburg has been sentenced to two years’ probation for promoting prostitution in Montgomery Township.

According to The Reporter, additional charges of promoting prostitution, transporting a prostitute in the commonwealth, criminal use of a communication facility, and criminal solicitation of prostitution were dropped in exchange for his plea agreement.

Montgomery Township police identified Harrison after he called the department to arrange for the pickup of property belonging to a known prostitute. His number was then traced to a prostitution advertisement.
