Man who committed back-to-back burglaries of same home in Fort Washington this morning has been arrested

The Upper Dublin Police Department announced today that officers were dispatched at 3:28am to the 200 block of Washington Lane in Fort Washington for a report of a male who had entered an occupied residence.

According to the report, the subject was confronted by the homeowner before fleeing the area.

Following a search, officers were dispatched to the same residence at 6:09am because the same subject had reentered the home.

The male again fled the area and was eventually located at Bethlehem Pike and Washington Lane at 7:26am.

Now in custody, the male has been identified as a 42-year-old resident of Philadelphia and is charged with burglary and related offenses.

Cheltenham, Springfield, Ambler, Lower Gwynedd, and Whitemarsh police provided assistance in his arrest, the department said.
