Martin Luther King Jr. Service of Remembrance

On Sunday, January 17th, the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Spring House will be honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a memorial service. The service begins at 4 pm.

The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. memorial service is a community service to honor Dr. Kings memory and recognize service that embodies his ideals. This community service is offered through the combined efforts of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Salem Baptist Church of Jenkintown and the Wissahickon Faith Community of which Calvary United Methodist is a part. Guest speaker is Rev. Dr. J. Louis Felton, Pastor Mount Airy Church of God in Christ. The invited guest this year is Tom Wolf governor elect of Pennsylvania.

 

This year’s service is a service of remembrance; remembering those who were slain in Charleston, South Carolina, Synagogues, Mosques and other houses of worship.
