Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new 20,180-square-foot Hospitality Institute, The Reporter said.
The building features “cutting-edge labs and kitchens, including specialized pasta, chocolate and fermentation laboratories, as well as a custom wood-burning pizza oven,” MCCC’s website says. “The facility also features an educational restaurant and pastry shop, complemented by both indoor and outdoor dining areas. We have a growing cabinet and raised beds to promote farm-to-table practices. Additionally, our innovation kitchens will support new programs in fermentation science and beverage management in the future.”
“This new facility is much more than an attractive space; it is a catalyst for learning, connection and opportunity,” said Dr. Victoria L. Bastecki-Perez, MCCC president. “Together, we are continuing Montco’s strong legacy of shaping lives and communities for generations to come.”
The ceremony is part of the college’s 60th anniversary celebration and took place just days before the founding date of December 8, 1964.
