Montgomery County Senior Games to Be Held May 7-11

The Montgomery County Senior Games are set for the week of May 7-11th.  The Senior Games are in their 33rd year of friendly competition between the senior adults of our community. The mission of MCSG is, “to stimulate senior adults in Montgomery County to be active in sports and recreational events in order to maintain physical and mental well-being”.   The games are run by a dedicated group of volunteers from Montgomery County Aging and Adult Services, local Parks and Recreation agencies, State Legislators, representatives from sponsors, and some staff of Montgomery County Community College.

Any Montgomery County resident aged 50 or older is eligible to participate. There are seven age categories and each age category has the opportunity to medal for first, second, and third place in the following events: golf, pickleball, horseshoes, bocce, mini golf, tennis, orienteering, archery, badmitten, swimming, basketball, table tennis, billiards, bowling, running events, shuffleboard, croquet, softball throw, football throw, darts and a few more.  See the full events list and times here.

The MCSG will be held at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, as well as several other specialized local facilities.  Some enhancements for this year include: an added bocce site, a streamlined pickleball tournament and a new course for golf.   Please note there will be a cap on participation so register for those events early.
