Dylan Michael Gamber, 23, of North Wales, was sentenced to 9 to 23 months in prison for causing a four-vehicle chain reaction crash that seriously injured another driver on August 4, 2023 at Welsh and Gwynedd View roads in Montgomery Township, The Reporter said.

Gamber, who was driving between 80 mph and 100 mph, reportedly told police he was speeding to a nearby Dollar General to buy a soda because “his blood sugar was low.” The posted speed limit at the location is 40 mph.

The driver of another vehicle involved in the crash was hospitalized for 16 days for fractured ribs, a collapsed lung and other injuries.

Gamber received a felony charge of aggravated assault by vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of recklessly endangering others, The Reporter said.
