Multiple crews respond to Lower Gwynedd house fire, family dog rescued

The Wissahickon Fire Company announced today that multiple crews were dispatched to a house fire in Lower Gwynedd Township at approximately 9:30pm on Sunday evening.

According to their post, crews were on scene for approximately three hours.

“The homeowner was rescued by firefighters and transported to a local hospital,” the post said. “A family pet dog was also rescued and transported to Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Plymouth Meeting.”


The cause of the fire remains under investigation by local and state fire marshal offices. No further information is available at this time, the department said.
