A contractor for Montgomery County Community College is working in conjunction with PennDOT to place a new traffic signal at the college’s entrance/exit onto Morris Road. Given the traffic volumes exiting the college at this point of egress, the college was able to meet PennDOT warrants for the signal.
The Community College is paying for the signal but, as with other traffic signals, once it is functioning, the Township is responsible for maintenance.
It is estimated that the signal will be operational later this spring.
