Phenom, an Ambler-based firm that helped pioneer automated hiring software, was featured today in The Philadelphia Inquirer in an article titled “Why Southwest, DHL and United do their hiring with software created by Philly area company”.
According to the story, Phenom’s clients include 700 of the 2,000 biggest companies in the world and employs roughly 300 people at its Ambler headquarters, plus another 1,200 at sites around the world.
CEO Mahe Bayireddi cofounded the company in 2011. Phenom has since ballooned through its response to the labor shortage and is now valued at $1.4 billion.
“Phenom was one of the first to catch on, and they are adding products fast,” Jess Von Bank, Minneapolis-based head of a group that advises clients at Mercer, the largest corporate HR consultant, told The Inquirer. “They have been automating 90% of the work of attracting, managing, and onboarding.”
