The Ambler Borough Police Departments reported on July 22nd that on July 16th its officers responded to a residence on the 100 Block of South Chestnut Street after receiving a report of a found firearm.
Responding officers investigated and discovered that the person who possessed the firearm was 18-year-old Anthony Everett of Philadelphia. According to police, Everett is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
The officers obtained an arrest warrant for Everett, and he was later arrested in the 35th District of Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Police Department. Everett was transported to Montgomery County Correctional Facility where he went before a judge. Everett was arraigned and bail was set at $50,000 cash. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 2nd at District Court 38-2-10.
