Portion of Skippack Pike in Whitpain to be closed for three weeks

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced today that pipe maintenance will close eastbound Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Whitpain Township, beginning Thursday, September 18th.

To allow for the work, the following restrictions will be in effect on the roadway.

From Thursday, September 18th, through Thursday, October 9th, eastbound Route 73 (Skippack Pike) will be closed and detoured 24/7 through the Narcissa Road Intersection. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Penllyn Blue Pike, Morris Road, and Butler Pike. Trucks will be directed to use U.S. 202, Route 63 (Welsh Road), Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike).

Route 73 (Skippack Pike) westbound will remain open to traffic. Local access will be maintained at all times.

Texas Eastern Transmission will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
