Two Local Athletes Competing at the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games

As you are cozying up to watch the 2018 Winter Olympics, keep an eye out for two local Olympians:

Andrew Sherk, who will compete in his first Olympics, went to Upper Dublin High School (Olympic Team USA Bio here).  He secured his spot on Team USA after he and his doubles partner, Justin Krewson, qualified in December by six-hundreths of a second at the Viessmann World Cup in Lake Placid.  Sherk will compete in the Luge doubles event, set for Feb. 14th at 8pm.

Brian O’Neill ( Olympic  Team USA Bio here), who graduated from Germantown Academy in 2012, is the forward for the Team U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team. The U.S. Team is one of twelve Ice Hockey Teams competing at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games between February 14-25th. Team USA will play in Group B alongside Russia, Slovakia and Slovenia, and opens the competition on Wednesday, February 14 against Slovenia.

You can follow both athletes on Instagram as they post about their Olympic experiences straight from PyeongChang, South Korea.
