Upper Dublin girls’ lacrosse ranked 18th in the nation, senior named SOL MVP

The Upper Dublin High School girls’ lacrosse team is currently ranked 18th in the nation and 8th in the Mid-Atlantic region, USA Lacrosse Magazine announced.

From the article:

No. 18 Upper Dublin (Pa.) avenged its only loss of the season with a win over Penncrest (Pa.) in the district playoffs, then stopped former No. 23 Radnor (Pa.). Its district run continues against private school Bishop Shanahan (Pa.), a team that has not lost to a public school yet.

The team is currently 19-1 on the season after taking home their first Suburban One American championship in 12 years after defeating Wissahickon 13-6 earlier this month. The Lady Cardinals will take on Conestoga High School (Berwyn) on Wednesday, May 28 in the District 1 3A tournament’s third place match.

In related news, senior Anna DiMartile was named to the Suburban One League First team and named the league’s MVP. The three-sport athlete will continue her lacrosse career at the University of Florida, which is fourth in the latest NCAA Division 1 rankings.
