The Borough of Ambler’s water department is repairing a water main break on Knight Road between Francis and Mt. Pleasant avenues in Ambler (Lower Gwynedd Township). According to the notice, the main has been shut down for repairs, and a crew has responded to make the necessary repairs.

While repairs are made, the water will be off, and it is expected to be restored late this afternoon.

The water department recommends that if you experience discolored water after the repairs have been completed, do not turn on the hot water. Turning on the hot water will bring the discolored water into the hot water tank. Instead, run cold water only from your faucet for several minutes and repeat this until the water runs clear. If you have a water softener, it is suggested you by-pass the softener until the situation is clear.
