The Whitpain Community Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, starting at noon on Montgomery County Community College’s Blue Bell Campus (340 DeKalb Pike).
On September 27, Whitpain Township and the college will host the Big Rig Roundup in the Morris Road parking lot from 5:30 – 8:00pm. The event includes a minimal noise hour from 5:30-6:30pm, during which time there will be no sirens, horns or loud engines running.
On Saturday, the Festival activities start at noon with local craft vendors, pumpkin painting, petting zoo, pony rides, hayrides, children’s games and a rock wall. Food trucks will line the festival beginning at noon, and a beer garden will be open for visitors over 21 years old from 2:00 – 8:00pm.
MCCC students will also host a health expo with display tables of health care information during the day. The Fort Washington School of Rock will perform from 2:30 – 3:15pm, followed by an MCCC student band from 3:30 – 4:15pm.
The Yer So Dad band will entertain from 5:00 – 6:00pm before Love Seed Mama Jump takes the stage at 7:00pm.
The Festival finale features a firework display with music behind MCCC’s College Hall at 8:15pm.
