Whitpain police warn of possible child luring attempt near Erbs Mill Park

Whitpain Township police recently issued a warning of suspicious activity involving a juvenile in the area of Erbs Mill Park.

From their Facebook post:

An 11-year-old boy was walking in the area of the Erbs Mill Park (Erbs Mill Rd and Arlington Rd), when he was approached by a car operated by a white male driver. The driver was described as having brown eyes, no facial hair and he was wearing a bucket style hat with strings. The driver engaged in conversation with the juvenile and eventually asked if he needed a ride. The juvenile then ran to a friend’s house and the car left the area.

The car was described as a silver Nissan; possibly a Sentra or Altima. Neighboring police departments have advised of similar incidents.
