Montgomery County Department of Public Safety has announced that there is a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the county starting Sunday, February 21st morning at 7:00 a.m. According to the notice, heavy snow, with accumulations of 10-16″, is possible, along with winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
The storm is expect to start as rain on Sunday, before mixing and changing over to snow during the afternoon or evening. The heaviest snow is anticipation for Sunday evening, before tapering off on Monday morning.
The notice advises that, “Roads across Montgomery County may become hazardous or completely impassable Sunday night into Monday. Do not drive during the height of the storm unless absolutely necessary. Take the time to prepare now!”
