The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 1-9pm Monday:
A wintry mix of precipitation is expected. Periods of light freezing rain, sleet and snow are anticipated. A few hundredths of an inch of ice will likely accumulate on untreated roads and walkways. Also, there may be a few tenths of an inch of sleet and snow.
Ice will likely create hazardous conditions on area roads and walkways. Icy conditions are expected to continue on Monday night and Tuesday morning as temperatures remain below freezing at most locations.
