All fifth graders in the Wissahickon School District will have the opportunity to learn how to play a ukulele thanks to a $2,500 grant provided by the Wissahickon Educational Opportunities Foundation (WEOF). Two classroom sets of ukuleles will be shared between the 4 elementary schools, giving every 5th grade student an opportunity to learn the basics of the instrument. A non-profit charitable organization, WEOF provides grants to enhance academic and extracurricular programs for Wissahickon students. Visit the WEOF website to learn more about the foundation.
