Wissahickon Fire Company receives $16K in state grants

State Rep. Liz Hanbidge announced that the Wissahickon Fire Company is receiving $16,322 in state grants to enhance its operations and emergency response efforts.

“Firefighters and EMTs are always there for us when we need them, and this funding helps ensure that they will continue to be supported with the resources they need to stay safe and serve our communities. It’s one way we can show our gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice,” Hanbidge said.

The grant funding, administered through the Office of the State Fire Commissioner, may be used toward facility renovations, equipment, debt reduction, training, and more.
