The Wissahickon High School robotics team competed in its second district competition this season on March 18 and 19 at Springside-Chestnut Hill Academy. After going 10-2 in qualification matches, the team ranked second out of 31 teams, and went on to win the event for the second year in a row.
The squad was awarded the Engineering Excellence Award, a designation achieved three times during the 2022 season.
Kirsten Jahn Richardson, Head Coach, announced that the winning performance earned Wissahickon a seat at the World Championship in Houston, Texas. District points accrued this year should qualify the team for the District Championship in April, she said.
